Happy New Years
Monday, December 31st, 2007I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a very merry new year. This last year has taught me a lot about what it really means to love and be loved. This was probably the hardest lesson I have ever had to learn, but its defiantly worth knowing and learning when I did.
Learning is a funny thing, cause right when you think your done, you realize you’ve just grazed the surface. I have spent a lot of my life grazing the surface as well as just peering over at the surface, but there is no time like the present to start doing more.
Religion is one of those things that got skimmed over.
Sadly I went from home (with Christian parents), to a Christian college where I was never asked to question, to a church job. Where in all of that was there really any time to say, “why did those words come out of my mouth? Did I mean that or am i just regurgitating someone else’s regurgitation…”
So here goes, I’m starting MY JOURNEY with a book called “Sophie’s World.”
It feels good to be able to say “my journey.” A relief actually.
It excites me that much more that the opening quote is:
“He who cannot draw on three thousand years is living from hand to mouth.”
